WELCOME AND CONCERNS OF THE CHURCH
PRELUDE—“Moravian Hallelujah”
CALL TO WORSHIP (adapted from Psalm 118)
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits.
My soul waits for the Lord, more than those who watch for the morning.
Hope in the Lord
For with the Lord there is steadfast love.
With the Lord there is great power to redeem.
Thanks be to God!
HYMN—“Hosanna, Loud Hosanna”
Hosanna, loud hosanna, the little children sang;
through pillared court and temple the joyful anthem rang.
To Jesus, who had blessed them, close folded to his breast,
the children sang their praises, the simplest and the best.
From Olivet they followed ’mid an exultant crowd,
the victor palm branch waving, and chanting clear and loud;
the Lord of earth and heaven rode on in lowly state,
nor scorned that little children should on his bidding wait.
“Hosanna in the highest!” That ancient song we sing,
for Christ is our Redeemer; the Lord of heaven, our King.
O may we ever praise him with heart and life and voice,
and in his blissful presence eternally rejoice.
CONFESSION OF SIN (UNISON)
O God, we come to you because you are the Creator of all that is good, and we praise you for all your goodness. We come to you as broken and bound human beings. Forgive us when we fail to see our neighbor and your earth as you see them. Restore us to yourself with your blessing of new life. We pray in the name of Jesus who is the resurrection and the life. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE/LORD’S PRAYER
HYMN - “Ride On, Ride on in Majesty”
Ride on! ride on in majesty! Hark! all the tribes hosanna cry;
thy humble beast pursues its road with palms and scattered garments strowed.
Ride on! ride on in majesty! The hosts of angels in the sky
look down with sad and wondering eyes to see the approaching sacrifice.
Ride on! ride on in majesty! In lowly pomp ride on to die;
bow thy meek head to mortal pain; then take, O God, thy power, and reign.

God, be the love to search and keep me.

WELCOME
CALL TO WORSHIP
O mortal, can these bones live?
Only the Lord knows.
O people, hope in the Lord.
With the Lord there is steadfast love and great power to redeem.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
O Lord, if you held our sin against us, who could live, who could stand? We seem to have more faith in death than hope in your promise of life. And even so, you love us; still there is forgiveness with you! We worship you, for you alone can save us from death and redeem us from our sin. Amen.
