Upcoming Events
The Maundy Thursday service and communion will be at 7:30 p.m. on April 17. The Easter Sunrise service is at 7:30 a.m., outside if weather permits. Linda will reflect on the Resurrection. Following the service will be our traditional Easter breakfast at 8:40 a.m. (more below). Linda’s Easter Sunday sermon at the 10 a.m. service is “Witness.” The choir will offer “Christ is Risen” to enhance the worship service. Please remember to bring flowers for our blooming cross.
There will not be an Adult Forum class on Easter, but the following week the class will begin a series of three classes led by Charles Bostian on Ancient Christianities.
Linda will be on vacation for the week following Easter. Lucian Robinson will preach on April 27. Contact the officer on call or the office if something arises.

Easter Breakfast Following the Easter Sunrise service, we will have our traditional Make-Your-Own-Omelet Breakfast, with the addition of waffles this year. We will start making and serving at 8:40 a.m. Please bring a dish to share, although that is not a requirement to attend. Suggestions for something to share include a breakfast casserole, fruit, bread, or mini-muffins.
Set-up and preparation will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Lots of help will be needed to move and set up tables in the Chapel, set places, and chop and sauteé veggies. Contact Barbara Wierwille with any questions or offerings of help.

Quarterly Offering Statements
Quarterly statements of offerings and contributions are being sent out this week, either by email or USPS mail. Please look over the statements and let the church office know of any corrections or omissions. We have migrated to ChurchTrac, a church management software program, to manage membership information and pledges and contributions. There is a learning curve, so we want to make sure payments are properly tagged for the intended purpose.
If you donate online, please help us with the processing. There are currently two choices for your donation, Regular Pledges and Ad Hoc Giving. If you are making a payment on your pledge, use the Regular Pledges category and indicate the appropriate amount. If you are making a donation to a church program or offering, such as Monday Night Suppers, the Food Pantry, a seasonal offering, etc., tag it as Ad Hoc Giving, indicate the amount, and list the recipients (and amount if there are multiple recipients) in the notes. If you have any questions, send a note to secretary.northside@gmail.com.

Freeeezer
The Monday Night Supper mission upgraded to a new larger freezer, rendering the smaller upright freezer it replaced as surplus. It is free to anyone who wishes to move it from the lower level. It is not a frost-free model so will require an occasional defrost. If you are interested, or know of someone or some place that could use this freezer, let Bruce know, either in person, by calling the church office, or drop an email to secretary.northside@gmail.com |
